Dell OptiPlex Gaming Desktop (Intel i5-8500, GTX 1050 Ti)

This refurbished Dell OptiPlex tower pairs a solid 8th-generation Intel Core i5 with a dedicated GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and dual storage, giving you an affordable, no-nonsense entry into PC gaming without the price tag of a new pre-built.

Key Features

• Intel Core i5-8500 Processor — A 6-core 8th-generation “Coffee Lake” CPU running at 3.00GHz base, a genuinely capable chip for gaming and everyday computing.
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB) — Dedicated Pascal-architecture graphics with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, delivering real gaming performance beyond integrated graphics.
• 16GB DDR4 Memory — Comfortable headroom for Windows, multitasking, and gaming.
• 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD — Fast SSD for your OS and most-played games, plus 1TB of hard drive space for the rest of your library and files.
• Dell OptiPlex Business-Grade Build — Reliable, proven components engineered for longevity.
• Windows 10 Pro — Genuine, pre-installed and ready to use.
• Professionally Refurbished — Fully tested and inspected before sale.
• Ports & Connectivity — Dell OptiPlex business I/O including multiple USB 3.0 ports, DisplayPort video output, and Gigabit Ethernet for a reliable wired connection.

Honest, Affordable Entry-Level Gaming

Let’s be upfront: the GTX 1050 Ti is an entry-level graphics card by current standards, launched back in 2016, so this is best suited to esports titles — CS2, Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, Fortnite on lower settings — running smoothly at 1080p, plus older or less demanding AAA titles at low-to-medium settings. You shouldn’t expect to max out the newest blockbuster releases or run high-refresh, high-resolution gaming from this card, but for casual gamers, students, or anyone building their first gaming PC on a tight budget, it’s a genuinely usable option, and the 6-core i5-8500 behind it means the CPU won’t be holding the GPU back.

The dual storage setup — a fast SSD for your operating system and go-to games, plus a full 1TB hard drive for the rest of your library, downloads and media — gives you a practical balance of speed and space without paying premium prices for all-SSD storage. Dell’s OptiPlex business line has a well-earned reputation for reliability, and that solid engineering carries over here even after the gaming upgrade. As a refurbished unit, expect light cosmetic wear consistent with prior business use, but every system is functionally tested before it ships. If you want more gaming headroom down the line, the tower case leaves room to upgrade the graphics card without replacing the whole system.

Who it’s for: this is a straightforward, no-frills pick for casual and competitive esports gamers, students, and anyone building their first gaming PC on a tight budget. The dual-storage setup keeps costs down compared to an all-SSD configuration while still giving your operating system and go-to games fast-loading SSD performance, making this one of the more balanced entry points in our range.

Compared with buying a new budget gaming pre-built, this refurbished OptiPlex typically costs meaningfully less while still delivering the core ingredients that actually matter for entry-level gaming: a genuine 6-core CPU, a dedicated GPU rather than integrated graphics, and dual storage that balances speed with capacity. It’s a sensible, unglamorous choice for anyone who wants to start gaming on PC without overspending on their first system.

Every machine we sell has already been unboxed, cleaned, inspected and functionally tested by a technician before it’s approved for listing, so you’re buying confirmed-working hardware rather than gambling on an untested secondhand computer. We’d rather be straightforward about what an entry-level graphics card can and can’t manage than oversell a machine and leave a buyer disappointed once it’s set up.
